Paul L. Petitti

Paul L. Petitti, 58, of Raritan, NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at RWJ in Somerville. Born on April 21, 1964 to Estelle and John Petitti, Paul resided in Nutley, NJ until he became a resident of the Arc of Union County in his thirties and remained there for a few years.

Paul then transitioned to the Arc of Somerset County where he resided in several group homes, the last one being Union Avenue Assisted Living in Bridgewater, NJ.

Paul loved the independence he had at the Union Ave Apartment and was very fond of his caregiver staff. While with the Arc of Somerset, Paul worked at various local businesses within the community until his retirement.

In his younger years, Paul enjoyed taking long walks in his hometown of Nutley and competing in a bowling league. Years later Paul enjoyed traveling with his Arc friends and staff and liked to spend his pocket money at the local CVS.

Paul spent the past two years at Rehab at Rivers Edge in Raritan, NJ.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Estelle and John Petitti.

Surviving are his three loving sisters, Michelle and husband Jon Hulsizer of Olney, Maryland; Jacqueline and husband Augustus Piazza of Nutley, NJ; Madeline and husband Neil Simpson of Flemington, NJ; one dear brother, John and wife Carole Dessureault of Ottawa, Canada; seven nieces, Jocelyn, Gillian, Paige, Kathryn, Camille, Alexandria, and Charlotte; two nephews, Matthew and Gabriel, and seven grand nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 10am to 12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, NJ.
