Noemi Medina

Noemi Medina, 86, of Neshanic Station, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, married in NYC, and having moved from The Bronx to New Jersey, Noemi later resided in Georgia for 13 years before moving to Neshanic Station 23 years ago.

Noemi earned her GED while raising 3 children. After many different jobs over the years in NYC, NJ, and Georgia, she then went on to work as an Infant Caregiver at Apples, Books, Bugs, and Sticks for 13 years.

Noemi was very active in her church, North Branch Reformed Church, attending at-home study groups, volunteering in various activities, and in the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, going to the movies, playing cards, and traveling. She had a love for baking and made phenomenal empanadas and cheesecakes.

She loved what she did for work, working with children gave her such joy. Most importantly, Noemi enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Esmerelda and Amadeo Berrios, her loving husband, Pablo Juan Medina, and her sister, Loida Cruz.

Surviving are her two dear sons, Paul and wife Isabella Medina of Easton, PA; Kyle and wife Mattie Medina of San Marcos, TX; her loving daughter, Maureen and husband Wayne DeMarco of Branchburg, NJ; her sister, Abigail Diaz of Lilburn, GA; five cherished grandchildren and two adored great grandchildren, as well as in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family, and co-workers and dear friends that also became family.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A service will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10am at North Branch Reformed Church. Entombment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ.
