Nancy L. Vurckio, 78, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Nancy moved to Whitehouse Station in 1970.
Nancy graduated from Somerset County Technical Institute where she received her Nursing Degree in 1984.
Nancy was an avid bowler. She got inducted into the Somerset Hunterdon Hall of Fame for bowling. Prior to her bowling, Nancy was also a barrel racer in the rodeo.
She enjoyed traveling, taking trips with her daughters to Las Vegas and taking trips with her husband to Anguilla for many years.
Nancy was big on Sunday Dinners, cooking and spending time with those she loved. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Joseph Malta and her two brothers, James Robert Malta and Joseph Malta.
Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, John W. Vurckio Jr., her dear son, John and wife Wendy Vurckio of New Bern, NC; two loving daughters, JoAnn and husband Eddie Drickler of Flemington, NJ; Debbie and husband Joe Assante of Branchburg, NJ; six cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Brian, Michelle, Michael, Neely, and six adored great grandchildren, Jaiden, Elijah, Jairo, Lukas, Jacob, and Liam.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A second viewing will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10am-11am with a prayer service beginning at 11am. Burial to follow at St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington, NJ.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital https://www.stjude.org/.
