Mildred Davis Branchburg, NJ Mildred Davis (nee Sapp), 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough, NJ. Born in Metter, GA in 1929, she and her family moved to New Jersey and settled in Neshanic Station in 1961. She loved to spend most of her day tending to her flowers and mowing her lawn. Mildred took great pride in making sure everything was perfect for the annual Neshanic Station Memorial Day Parade. Mildred also loved to read, quilt, and do jigsaw puzzles and word-find puzzle books. She volunteered at the Neshanic Library, and was a former member of the Raritan Women's Bowling League and the Branchburg Women's Softball and Volleyball Leagues. Mildred retired from the Branchburg Board of Education where she drove the children of Branchburg to school for more than 25 years. What she cherished the most was her family who often gathered at her home for fried chicken and dumplings or a hearty breakfast of eggs, toast and grits. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their activities and supported them at their games and school events. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Lee and Lester Sapp, her husband CR, her daughter Rose Swiatecki, her five brothers, James Troy, Alfred, Rephard, Ralph, and Melvin as well as her three sisters, Elsie, Bertie, and Mattie Mae. Surviving are her loving daughter Jennifer Ann and husband Bill Bauer of Branchburg, NJ; a dear son Charlie and wife Mary Alyce Davis of Hillsborough, NJ; grandchildren, Paul Kessock (Daniel), David Kessock (Joy), Chris Miller (Eilene), Michael Kessock (Stephanie), CJ Davis (Michelle), and Amy Swiatecki-McCabe, great –grandchildren Colin and Matti Miller, Brianna and Derek Kessock, Jacob, Brycen and Samuel Kessock, son-in-law, Bob Swiatecki, many nieces and nephews and "her dog" Bandit. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10am. Burial will follow at South Branch Reformed Church Cemetery 870 River Rd, Hillsborough Township, NJ 08844. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Neshanic Volunteer Fire Company 333 Maple Ave Neshanic Station, NJ.
