Michele H. Hayes, 62, of Raritan, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Michele was born in Rahway, NJ and grew up in Plainfield, NJ. She resided in Raritan, NJ for nearly 25 years, where she and her ex-husband, Robert, raised their son and two dogs.

Michele graduated from Plainfield High School in 1978. She went on to work for HFI Truck Center as an office manager, where she celebrated 20 years at the company in June 2022.

She enjoyed sunny days at the beach, especially Seaside Park in NJ and the Outer Banks in North Carolina. She also loved going out to dinner with her girlfriends and exploring Philadelphia with her son.

Michele loved animals, including her dogs, Nellie and Genesis, who have both passed. She was involved with Rawhide Rescue animal shelter in Warren, NJ, and also donated to the ASPCA.

Most importantly, Michele was a selfless, warm-hearted soul who impacted everyone she met. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her son Trevor, whom she treasured. Michele also had a motto, "keep the faith," and always found the positive in everything that came her way.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Kisling, and her grandparents.

Surviving her are her dear son Trevor Hayes of Philadelphia, PA; her loving mother, Frances Marguerite Kisling of Warren, NJ; two brothers, Jud and wife Regina Kisling of Washington, NJ; Nick and wife Chona Kisling of North Plainfield, NJ; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Branchburg Funeral Home at 910 RT. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a prayer service starting at 11 a.m.

Committal is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Michele's memory to the ASPCA.
