Michael �Trixie� Torllini , 87, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Bound Brook. Born in Raritan, Michael was a lifelong borough resident. Mr. Torllini was a Private First Class in the United States Army during World War II and was a recipient of the Victory Medal. He also served in the Merchant Marines. Michael was a member of the American Legion John Basilone Post #280 in Raritan. Michael was a Maintenance Worker for the Somerset County Sheriff's Department for 18 years, until retiring in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Filomena DiGiovanni Torllini; his three brothers, Rocco Seminaro, John Seminaro and Dominick Trullini; and his three sisters, Pauline Albanese, Margaret Monteschio and Mary Mondelli. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Ann R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater. Viewing hours are Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
