Michael A. Namisnak

Michael A. Namisnak, 90, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Michael resided in Piscataway for 3 years before moving to Branchburg 53 years ago.

Michael graduated from St. Benedics. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Navy Submarine Corps from 1952-1956 serving on the USS SEA LEAPORD and USS RAY. Once honorably discharged, Michael attended Syracuse for two years then graduated from Upsala in 1959.

After graduating college, Michael worked to ITT, Olivetti and retired from Ortho Diagnostics in 1992.

Michael was a member of the Elks Lodge #1026, a 50 plus year member of Holy Trinity Church Holy Name Society and a 50 year award of the Holland Sub Service Club.

Michael loved the Metz and Eagles. He enjoyed going to flee markets, traveling, enjoying his wine during happy hour, and sitting on his swing outside. When he would travel, he would travel to see his son's races which took place in many locations. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary and Michael Namisnak, his wife, Shirley Namisnak (1991), and his son, Michael Namisnak (2017).

Surviving are his dear son, Steven and wife Sue Namisnak of Indianapolis, IN; a loving sister, Mary Ann Keller of Bridgewater, NJ; and two cherished grandchildren, Jake and Nyah.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 1-5pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 4:30pm.

Committal is private.
