Obituary

Raritan N.J. Michael Manginelli Sr. 82 passed away on Thursday December 20, 2012 at the St. Barnabus Medical Center in Livingston NJ. Born in Newark, NJ he resided in Maplewood for 20 years before moving to Raritan 8 years ago Mr. Manginelli served in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean War. He worked and later retired as a Self Employed Electrician for 55 years. Michael was an outdoorsman, and was an avid hunter and loved going to the shooting range. As a proud Marine he looked forward to the John Basilone parade every year. He enjoyed attending all family gatherings. Michael was an avid New York Giant and Yankee fan. He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars. Michael was a Parishioner at St Ann's Church in Raritan. He was a member of the NRA, Marine Corps League 200 Club Member Morris County, American Legion Post 1000, and Numerous Hunting Clubs. Michael was preceded in death by his dear parents John and Angelina, his beloved wife Mildred of 61 years(2007), his sisters Teresa Camasta, Mary Carruba and Rose Di Paolo, His brother Paul Manginelli, and his cherished companion Linda Policarpio (2011). Surviving are his cherished sons Dr. Michael Manginelli Jr. and his wife Elvira of Yardley, PA, Steven Manginelli of Cranford, John Manginelli and his wife Donna Manginelli of Cranford, dear grandchildren Anthony, Tara, Danielle, and Brian, beloved brother Joe Manginelli of Whippany, cherished sister Anne Bullis and husband Merrit of Old Bridge, Many Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, several Nieces and Nephews. And most of all many dear friends. Viewing hours will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Route 202 South, Branchburg NJ. Funeral Services will begin with a prayer at 9:30 AM, Saturday December 29, at the funeral home followed by a 10:15 AM Mass at St Ann's R.C Church 45 Anderson St. Raritan, NJ. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's memory to the Marine Corps League, 1621 Lehigh Street, Easton, PA 18042.
