Obituary

Michael Joseph Lembo Whitehouse Station, NJ Michael Joseph Lembo, 77, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his home. Born in Manhattan, NY, he was a long-time resident of Scotch Plains, NJ before moving to Whitehouse 2 years ago. However, Michael identified most with the place he spent the first 25 years of his life, Brooklyn, NY. Michael built a successful 50-year career spanning multiple industries. He held many positions, most recently President of the Power division and senior vice president of Skanska USA civil. He retired after 20 successful years at Skanska. Michael loved feeding the birds in his yard, watering his flowers, and traveling every year to Aruba with his family. He was an avid Giants and Yankee Fan, and loved attending and recording all his grandchildren's sporting events. Family was everything to Michael, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and will be forever in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gaetana and Salvatore Lembo; his beloved wife of 23 years, Marie Lembo (1987); and his sister, Gloria Nalbone. Surviving are his dear sons, Michael, Matthew and his wife Sally, and Mark; his loving daughter, Marisa and husband Greg Watson; his dear brother, Vincent and his wife Camille; his beloved Aunt Jenny Palmieri; five cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Anthony, Nicholas, Victoria, and Daniel. Michael is also survived by Odessa and husband Joseph Ferraro and their two children, Luca and Bianca. Viewing will be held Monday June 25, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 8:45am on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 followed by 9:30am funeral liturgy at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, in Somerville, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddlebrook, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
