Obituary

Michael "Mick" James Kaminski (69) of Branchburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 23, 2026.

Mick was born in Westfield, New Jersey, on October 26, 1956, to Irene and Michael Kaminski. He met the love of his life, Ginny (Virginia) Williams, at Rahway High School in 1973. Mick and Ginny married on October 30, 1977, and spent 53 years of endless love together. They built a life in Rahway, NJ, and later in Branchburg, NJ, where they lived in the very same house for 42 years.

Mick was an avid softball player, golfer, beach-goer, cruiser, Yankees fan, and fantasy football player; but, most of all, he was a deeply committed and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

He was predeceased by his mother, Irene; his father, Michael; his sister, Jean; his mother-in-law, Joan; and his father-in-law, John "Jack." Continuing his legacy are his wife, Ginny; daughter Kristie Amen (Andy); daughter Jen DeStefano (Dan); and son Michael Kaminski (Nicole Hreno). He is also survived by the loving grandchildren to whom he dedicated his heart and life: Sierra and Mason (Kristie & Andy), Emmie and Grant (Jen & Dan), and Jace (Michael & Nicole); his sister, Carol Kaminski; and his brothers, Mark and Kevin Kaminski. Mick also leaves behind an immeasurable list of extended family and friends. He will forever be remembered for the devotion and love he showed to everyone in his life.
