Michael James Importico

September 27, 1969 – February 11, 2026

Michael James Importico, 56, of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Michael grew up and resided in North Plainfield and Bridgewater NJ for more than 25 years before moving to Somers Point and later Egg Harbor Twp. NJ. He was a graduate of North Plainfield High School.

Michael enjoyed the excitement of entrepreneurship. Throughout his life, his career reflected a passion for business, including real estate sales, stock trading, and helping to manage his family's businesses, most recently Tower Recycling Systems, Inc.

Michael was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a special gift with children and animals, always bringing them joy and comfort. He lived life with a sense of excitement and enthusiasm and loved sharing that energy with others. Michael enjoyed nice cars, boats, good food, music and old movie westerns. In his free time, Michael enjoyed researching the health benefits of good nutrition and sharing that knowledge to help others feel their best.

In his final act of generosity, Michael gave the gift of life as an organ donor, donating his heart, kidneys, and liver to recipients in need. Through this selfless decision, his compassion continues to live on, bringing hope and healing to others.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Gail Aiello Importico.

Surviving are his dear father, Michael T. Importico Jr., of Egg Harbor Township NJ and Naples FL; his loving sister, Christine, and her husband Bryan James of Basking Ridge, NJ; two cherished nephews, Evan J. Driscoll and Sean B. Driscoll of Basking Ridge, NJ; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ, 08876.

Family and friends are welcome to gather for a service on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11am-12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, with a prayer service beginning at 12pm. Inurnment to follow at Somerset Hill Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Those wishing to honor Michael may consider a memorial donation to a charity supporting animal welfare, such as the ASPCA or K9s for Warriors.
