Michael Barbosa, 52, of Bedminster, NJ, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025. Born in Teaneck, NJ, Michael resided in Morristown for five years before making his home in Bedminster.

Michael worked as a master mechanic for many years, which allowed him to spend his career doing what he loved—fixing, building, and bringing things back to life. From a young age, motorcycles were one of his greatest passions. His spare time was filled with many adventures on his bike; he loved the open road and the freedom it brought.

Michael's creativity and determination never wavered. He taught himself to play the guitar, draw, and tattoo—each new skill a testament to his resilience and his desire to express himself in new ways.

Michael became deeply involved at Grace Chapel, where his faith grew stronger and he formed lifelong friendships that truly became family. His joy for Jesus lit up every room he entered, and his warm spirit left an imprint on everyone he met. He also volunteered with the ministry Hoving Home, giving his time and heart to help others find hope and healing.

More than anything, Michael cherished his family. His beloved wife, children, and especially his granddaughters were the center of his world, and he loved them with a depth that was felt in every moment spent together. Family was always Michael's priority, as well as the faith that guided him throughout his life.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Celso Barbosa-Carbonell (2023).

He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Barbosa; his mother, Luz Barbosa; his son, Michael Barbosa Jr.; his daughters, Alexis and her husband TJ Orefice, Alexandra and her husband Matthew Sulik, and Melissa Contini; his brother, Celso Barbosa; his sister, Evelyn and her husband George Hunt; his niece Tayler and nephew Nikolas; and his two cherished granddaughters, Emilia and Grace.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 6:30 PM.

Committal will be private.
