She overcame several battles in life, and never showed the scars

Late in the evening on June 30th, Megan passed away.

Megan over the last several months, was fighting the battle of her life caused by an unknown virus – the rejection of her donated heart. The heart she had received over nine years ago.

In the end, the battle to overcome the rejection, even with the best therapies and treatments available at the world's best heart center, took its toll. Never once did she ever give up, no matter how painful and challenging it was. Always with a positive "you got this" attitude, up until the end.

Megan had several battles in her life – leukemia, stroke, and heart failure – and despite of all this, she overcame the odds to live a beautiful life of 29 years.

Everyone who met Megan, knew she was someone special, but she never talked about herself, her history or showing her 'scars' and asking for sympathy. For her, it was always about focusing on others and making everyone else's life happy. She gave her big heart and love, to everyone she met, up until the end.

Megan was Born in Cincinnati, OH, and resided in Branchburg, NJ, Morristown, NJ, Hoboken, NJ and Doylestown, PA. Megan was a graduate of Somerville High School, and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

Megan was a volunteer for several organizations that focused on Children with special needs, including: Children's Specialized Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Be-The-Match, and Love Your Melon.

Megan loved spending time with her friends and family, her dog Finn at the dog parks, and going to her special place at the beach, LBI.

Megan is survived by her parents, Mike and Carol Chuisano, brother Michael and wife Danielle, sister Kasey and husband Steve Lalor, her twin brother Andrew and wife Jenna, and four cherished nieces, Olivia, Carly, Brielle and Madison. Her dog Finn, will reside with Megan's parents.

Thank you for your love, compassion and support over the past several months. Megan, Carol and I and the rest of the family, we're blessed to have all of you praying for Megan and continuing to keep her memories alive.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:15am. Funeral mass will follow at 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Three Bridges, NJ.
