Mary P. Yarka Raritan, NJ Mary Yarka, 80, of Raritan, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Foothill Acres in Hillsborough. Born in Somerville, NJ, Mary resided in Piscataway for 47 years before recently moving to Raritan. Mary graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1960. She also attended Rutgers Douglas Campus for a short time. Mary worked for Union Carbide in accounting and transportation for 30 plus years before retiring in 2001. Mary loved ballroom dancing, traveling all around the world including Venezuela, Alaska, Atlantic City and more. She loved to read and enjoyed the many trips she took as an active member of the Bound Brook Seniors to Atlantic City. One thing Mary enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mary and Chester Yarka and her sister, Joann Adams. Surviving are her loving sister Barbara and husband Bob Maher of Bridgewater, NJ; a dear brother, Gerard and wife Janet Yarka of Hillsborough, NJ; and several loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 9am-10am at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 10am. Mass will take place at 10:30am at Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manville, NJ.
