Mary Ann Tracchio, 86, of Raritan, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, Mary Ann later resided in Branchburg for 51 years before moving to Raritan.

Growing up, Mary Ann was part of a large, hard-working, and active family consisting of 3 brothers (George, Richard, Michael) and 1 sister (Ann), all of whom she loved very much. She was also very close with her half-brother, Michael George. A signature part of her family upbringing was rooted in work ethic. She began employment at an incredibly young age, often balancing multiple jobs simultaneously to help support her family. At one point, she held 4 jobs at once. The pinnacle of her career, however, was a 40+ year tenure at the Somerset County Prosecutors Office where she rose to the title of Office Manager/Senior Advisor. During that period, Mary Ann received countless awards and recognitions from the 6 Prosecutors, whom she loyally served under. She also received acknowledgements from state agency officials including Governors, Senators, Congressional leaders, Mayors, and Commissioners. It could often be heard from law enforcement throughout New Jersey, "If you need any help from Somerset County, just call Mary Ann...". In another testament to her work ethic and true "grit", she never missed or took a sick day throughout her entire Somerset County 40-year career.

Despite her unprecedented employment success, Mary Ann's favorite job was being a wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to the love of her life, Tony, for 56 years and raised 4 children. There was nothing she loved more than her family. She was an incredible supporter of all their ambitions while humbly always remaining out of the spotlight. She was the epitome of selflessness, love, and caring.

Mary Ann was active in the community. Among her many contributions was initiating the "Yellow Ribbon" campaign during the Persian Gulf War in 1990-91, promoting the safe return of our troops home from the Middle East. She also was instrumental in launching the D.A.R.E. program for Somerset County and at the forefront for New Jersey. She coached cheerleading, loved doing yardwork, and enjoyed traveling. She was a relentless supporter of Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue, the Armed Services, as well as donating her time to St. Ann's School, Immaculata High School, and the Raritan PAL to name a few. She was also a devout Catholic and raised her children to be the same.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony Tracchio (2017), grandson Nicholas Anthony, granddaughter Isabelle Zhang, parents Anna and Mike Durik, and brothers George and Michael George Durik Jr.

Surviving are her 4 loving children: Tony and wife Betsy Tracchio of Jasper, GA; Ann and husband Robert Farrigan of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Rich and wife Mary Tracchio of Winter Garden, FL; Gina and husband Frank Loschiavo of Raritan, NJ. Also surviving are her two brothers Richard and wife Kathleen Durik; Michael Durik; and sister, Ann and husband Paul Schulze. Finally, she is survived by her twelve cherished grandchildren: Alexandra, Caitlin, Benjamin, Robert, Tara, Jessie, Gabrielle, Mitchell, Kimberly, Richard, Carmela, and Paolo, and six adored great grandchildren: Wyatt, Adelaide, Emilia, Genevieve, Madilynn, and Aubree.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ, 08876.

Family and immediate friends are to gather at the Branchburg Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 8:45am with a prayer service beginning at 9:15am. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bernard Church at 10:00am in Bridgewater, NJ. Entombment will take place at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ.
