Mary Ann Dely , 75, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Somerville, Mary Ann resided in Raritan and then Bridgewater for 45 years before moving to Hillsborough five years ago. Mrs. Dely worked for 27 years for the Township of Bridgewater, retiring in 2004 as Assistant to the Finance Director. Mary Ann was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan. She was a former avid bowler, enjoyed taking trips to Vegas and Atlantic City, and playing cards with her card group of 60 years. Mary Ann was also an avid Giants, Yankees, and Rangers fan. She enjoyed going to the gym, shopping, and the beach. Her greatest love of all was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas "Duck" and Gladys Schenck Gerardo. Surviving are her beloved husband of 57 years, John S. Dely; her loving daughter, Kim Forrest and her husband, Robert of Hillsborough; her loving son, Rich J. Dely of Manville; her four cherished grandchildren, Beuk, Jordan, Amanda, and Brock; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:15 AM on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater. Viewing hours are Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
