Martin E. Maturin Jr. Bridgewater, NJ Martin Maturin Jr., 83, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Martin resided in Bridgewater where he spent most of his life. Martin graduated from Somerville High School, Class of 1956. After graduating, Mr. Maturin went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1961 and the Reserves from 1961-1963. He then went on to work for Dow Chemical in Bound Brook as a Lab Technician for 38 years before retiring in 2001. Mr. Maturin was an avid collector of the W.W.I. Military Memorabilia and a historian. He enjoyed reading, military miniatures, movies and nature photography. The one thing Martin enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family, especially his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Cornelia and Martin E. Maturin Sr. Surviving are his dear brother, Cornelius and wife Arlene Malicher Maturin of Bridgewater, NJ; four nephews, Martin, Michael, Joseph, and Daniel, and his favorite niece, Lisa, five great nephews, Ryan, Nicholas, Mason, Liam and Nolan and two great nieces, Christie and Chloe.
