Mark A. Lines, 58, of Dunellen, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his home. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Mark spent all of his young life in Piscataway before moving to Dunellen 25 years ago.
Mark graduated from Piscataway High School, Class of 1982. He received his Associates Degree from MCCC in 2008.
Mr. Lines worked as an LPN at Lyons V.A. Hospital for 14 years. He took great pride in caring for "his guys" on the Alzheimer's and Dementia unit. Mark was a dedicated and committed caregiver to our Veterans.
Mark's hobbies were going to the shooting range, collecting guns and civil war memorabilia. He was a dedicated member of the Republican Party and proud to be an American citizen. He loved taking drives with his beloved dogs and listening to music. Mark loved the outdoors especially barbequing for his friends and camping. Mark was a chatter and never missed an opportunity to strike up a conversation with anyone about anything. You name it and he would talk about it. Mark loved singing along to the oldies, making up his own lyrics which were sometimes really funny and was also an amateur actor. He was a big kid at heart and more than anything enjoyed spending quality time with his family and playing with his beloved grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Georgianna Vernacchia and Edward Lines.
Surviving are his two loving daughters, Olivia Lines and fiancé Kyle Wynkoop of Hillsborough, NJ; Lily Lines of Branchburg, NJ; two sisters, Angel Lines Vorwick and husband Timothy Vorwick of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Michelle and husband Darryl Goffreda of Milford, NJ; a dear brother, Leonard Brewer of Piscatway, NJ; three nieces, Alexandria, Carina, and Lynn, two nephews, James and Tim, his two cherished grandchildren, Carter and Sage and his two dogs, Rex and Brindle.
A viewing will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 7:30pm.
