Marilyn A. Smith Branchburg, NJ Marilyn Smith, 90, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater. Born and raised in Clifton, Marilyn resided in Bridgewater for 46 years. Marilyn graduated from Clifton High School, Class of 1949. After graduating, she went on to receive her Associates Degree where she became a Registered Nurse for Raritan Health/Extended Care. After 30 years of being a nurse, Marilyn retired in 2012. Marilyn was an avid golfer and New York Yankees fan. She loved taking trips to Atlantic City and spending time at the Jersey Shore, especially at Ortley Beach. The one thing Marilyn enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Peter Knapp, her loving husband of 15 years, Gerald E. Smith (1976), five sisters, Dorothy Kazimir, Evelyn O'Neil, Lillian Lombardi, Geraldine Carlson, Alice Nancarrow, and a brother, Peter Knapp. Surviving her loving daughter Kelly and husband Dan Loughlin of Branchburg, NJ; one sister, Jacqueline Daly of Clifton, NJ; and four cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Mckenzie, Katy, and Luke. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 6-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will follow at St. Bernard R.C. Church at 10am. Committal is private.
