Marie Elizabeth DelRocco Gerard , 93, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at home. Born in Newark, she resided in Belleville for ten years before moving to Raritan where she resided most of her life. She was the owner and operator of Marie's Beauty Shop in Raritan for 40 years until retiring in 1987. Marie was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Victor, her beloved sons, Jack, of Coral Springs, FL and Robert, and his wife, Rosalyn, of Harrisburg, N.C., her beloved daughter, Carolyn Lambert and husband David, of Hillsborough, eight grandchildren, Rocco, AnnaMarie, Sandra, Brett, Ross, Randall, Daniel and Jean, 13 great-grandchildren, her dear brother, Gus Vanderbeek and his wife, Patricia, of Bedminster and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin with a prayer on Monday at 9:45 AM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ, 08876, followed by at 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Ann's R. C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visitation hours are Sunday from 1 to 5 PM at the funeral home.
