Marie M. El Baroudy, 86, of Somerville, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville.

Marie worked as a banker teller for many years before her retirement.

During her free time, Marie loved doing puzzles and word searches. She had a huge love for animals, especially cats. Marie enjoyed the beach and raviolis. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her son Adam, grandson Brandon, and her sister Sarah.

A gentle and kind soul, Marie did not have a mean bone in her body. She will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Joseph Macaluso, her husband, Ahmad Elbaroudy, and two sisters, Nan and Nabiha, and her nephew, Salvatore Guliano.

Surviving are her loving son, Adam Joseph Scortino and her future daughter in law, Barbara Ann, her sister, Sarah and husband Robert Armento, her half brother and sister, Joseph Macaluso and Linda, her cherished grandson, Brandon,her daughter in law, June Scortino, two nieces, Maria Morro and husband Bill Morro, Sr., and Laura, two nephews, Billy Gulino and Joey Gulino, two great nephews, William Morro Jr., and Michael Morro, three great nieces, Rachael, Stephanie, and Crystal, her great great nephew, William Morro, III, and her great great niece, Gianna.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11am – 12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 12pm. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
