Maria B. Baptista Middletown, NJ Maria Baptista, 74, of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Chelsea at Bridgewater. Born in Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal. She resided in Mine Hill for 10 plus years and Brick for 6 years before moving to Middletown one month ago. Maria worked as a drug safety surveillance specialist for 30 years and retired with Sanofi Aventis 7 years ago. Maria enjoyed shopping, gardening, going to the beach and taking vacations. Maria cherished her time with her family, her canine companion, Chelsea, before she passed and her grandchildren were her everything. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Judite Bandeira da Rocha and Manuel Bento da Silva Peixoto. Surviving are her dear son Michael and his wife Katie Baptista of Middletown, NJ, grandchildren, Makayla and Brady; her sister Anna and husband Luiz Reis of Mount Pleasant, SC; and two cherished nephews, Brian and wife Amy Reis and Derek Reis. Committal is private.
