Margaret K. Skvara Bridgewater, NJ Margaret Skvara, 81, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at RWJ Somerset. Born in New Brunswick, Margaret graduated from St. Peter's High School, Class of 1958. After graduating, she went on to receive her Associates Degree at Berkeley Secretarial School, East Orange, NJ. Margaret worked as an Executive Secretary for Johnson and Johnson for 10 years and later as a Stockbroker in Philadelphia. Margaret was a life member and past president of Washington Valley Garden Club, a life member of the Bridgewater Women's Club, and editor of their newsletter for over 20 years. She was a member of the Garden Club of New Jersey. She was an avid Bridge Player and loved doing crossword puzzles, knitting, tending to her garden and reading. Margaret wrote a couple of small cookbooks for the clubs she belonged to. She attended the Metropolitan Opera in New York City for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret and Simon Kelemen. Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, Dr. Frederick C. Skvara, one dear brother, Dr. Simon Kelemen and his wife Debbie of Annandale, NJ; and many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 2-5pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the funeral home at 9:15am. Mass will take place at St. Bernard R.C. Church at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to St. Hubert's Animal Shelter 3201 US-22 Somerville, NJ 08876.
