Luigi Di Giuseppantonio, 87, of Raritan, NJ, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at RWJ University Hospital in Somerville, NJ. Born in Santa Maria Imbaro, Abruzzo, Italy, Luigi immigrated to the United States in 1956. After arriving to the United States, Luigi resided in Raritan Boro, NJ for 61 years.
Luigi worked as a delivery driver for Budweiser, located in South Brunswick, NJ. Luigi was an avid hunter and a member of the Raritan Bow & Gun Club. Luigi was a passionate New York Yankees fan and enjoyed deep sea fishing, taking care of his vegetable garden, making tomato sauce and wine. Luigi loved spending time at the Jersey shore, visiting family in Pennsylvania, Canada and Italy. Most importantly, Luigi enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially with his seven grandchildren.
Luigi is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rosa and Giuseppe Di Giuseppantonio, sister, Filomena Romagnoli and brother, Alberto Di Giuseppantonio.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Lidia (Montanari) Di Giuseppantonio, three loving daughters, Rosa and husband Antonio Rosato of Raritan, NJ; Lisa and husband Gianni Bergesio of New Providence, NJ and Rita and husband Onofrio Cirianni of Bridgewater, NJ; two sisters, Maria Grazia De Luca and Elena Di Rado of Raritan, NJ; seven cherished grandchildren, Lidia, Valentino, Adriana, Alessio, Raffaele, Juliana, Sabrina and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Raritan, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
