Lisbeth "Beth" Lella October 1, 2023 Branchburg, NJ Lisbeth Lella, known to her beloved family and friends as "Beth," passed away at her home in Branchburg, NJ on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Born on November 30, 1960 in Somerville, NJ, Beth was the daughter of the late Eloise and Rocco Lella of Branchburg, NJ. Her life journey was filled with dedication, service, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community.

Beth graduated from Somerville High School with the Class of 1978. Later, her thirst for adventure led her to join the U.S. Navy, where she served from 1986 to 1988. Following her service, she ventured to Florida, where she answered the call of duty once again, this time as a firefighter and EMT with the Orlando Fire Department for nearly a decade.

In 1999, she returned to her New Jersey roots and embarked on a remarkable healthcare career. Starting as a patient care technician, she diligently worked her way through nursing school, earning a Bachelor's degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University. Ultimately, she became a dedicated ICU nurse at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ, where she served passionately for over 21 years. Her unwavering commitment to her profession was exemplified during the darkest hours of the COVID-19 pandemic, where she stood as an integral member of the ICU team, providing comfort and care to those in need.

Beth's professional dedication was matched by her deep love for her colleagues, whom she considered not only her teammates but also her cherished friends. She was the glue that held them together, both at work and in their personal lives. Outside of her career, Beth found joy in various pursuits. She was an avid golfer, a traveler who cherished adventures with her friends, and an enthusiastic New York Yankees fan. She had a profound appreciation for nature and wildlife, often spending her time feeding a family of deer and squirrels on her wooded property and tending to her numerous bird feeders.

One of her most cherished attributes was her ability to maintain close connections with her family and friends. Beth was known for her unexpected, hours-long phone conversations, where laughter and heartfelt conversations flowed freely. She had a unique gift for making people smile with her jokes and humor.

Beth is preceded in death by her parents, and her dear feline companion, Jackson, who held a special place in her heart for nearly two decades.

She is survived by her brother Richard Lella of Branchburg; loving nephew Adam Lella and wife Dana of Warren Township; loving nephew Eric Lella of Hampton Bays, NY; loving niece Danielle Lella and husband David Bartolone of Brooklyn, NY; sister-in-law Orysia Lella of Flemington; and her two cherished great-nephews, Lucas and Evan. Beth also leaves behind her adored feline companions, Skylar and Bear, and countless friends and extended family members who will forever treasure the joy, laughter, and love she shared with all. Beth Lella's legacy of love, friendship, and dedication will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Committal is private, with a small gathering of close family and friends to follow at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter in Beth's name.
