Obituary

Lisa A. Vidal

Branchburg, NJ

Lisa A. Vidal, 48, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port Chester, NY, Lisa grew up in Bethel, CT where she spent most of her life before moving to Branchburg 24 years ago.

Lisa graduated from Bethel High School, Class of 1992. She then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Mansfield University where she met her husband Manny. After graduating, Lisa began her teaching career in Connecticut and continued when she moved to Branchburg. Over her 20-year career, she taught 3rd grade in Connecticut and preschool students at North Branch Reformed Church.

Lisa cherished the time she spent with family and friends. She always wanted to help others whether it was families in need, volunteering in Girl Scouts of America, or helping at numerous school events where her children attended. She also enjoyed traveling with her family, exploring new places she could never have imagined visiting such as Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Portugal. Anyone who had the pleasure of interacting with Lisa would always speak highly of her ability to make you feel comfortable, loved, and pushed to achieve any dream that you had no matter how big or small it was. She was a beacon of strength for her family, friends, and community when she pushed her health issues aside and decided to live every day as a gift in the spring of 2021.

If you knew Lisa you understood how her kids were everything to her. She always spoke of their achievements, what they were doing in life, or just how much she enjoyed knowing that they would do the right thing when put in a difficult situation. She deeply loved everyone she met and always saw what a person could be and not who a person was, showing her optimistic attitude and confidence in every human being.

She is preceded in death by her beloved father, John Fazio, and her father-in-law, Manuel Vidal.

Surviving are her loving husband, Manuel Vidal, two dear sons, Manny Vidal of Branchburg, NJ; Nicky Vidal of Branchburg, NJ; her two loving daughters, Maia Vidal of Branchburg, NJ; Kiera Vidal of Branchburg, NJ; her mother, Marcella Mutino of Waretown, NJ; her brother, John Fazio of Salisbury, CT; her sister, Stacey and husband TJ Conroy of Fairfield, CT; her mother in law, Josefina Vidal, her sister and brother in law, Diana and Tim, her nieces, Natalie and Samantha, her nephew, Tyler, and her loving canine companion, Peyton.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's R.C. Church at 10am. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
