Lisa Mae O'Neill, 57, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. While Lisa was born in Tampa, FL, she mostly grew up in New Jersey. Residing in Toms River at the time of her passing, she previously lived in Sayreville and Manahawkin for over 20 years. Lisa was a graduate of Middletown South High School, class of 1983, and worked as a Senior Field Coordinator for the NJ Turnpike Authority. She was a lover of all things outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and spending time at her property in upstate NY. When she wasn't partaking in any outdoor activities herself, Lisa loved attending all of her children's and grandchildren's sporting events throughout the years. She was always a loving and supportive mother and nana. Lisa had a zest for life and always loved a good party. She enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and was also a member of the Lacey Township Elks Lodge where she had many friends. Her friends and family always described her as a generous person who was always willing to help those in need. She leaves behind her mother, Doris Scattergood Holwerda, her three children, Chance O'Neill, Shane O'Neill, Heather Phillips and her husband Eric, and her two cherished grandchildren, Ryker and Gunnar. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 2-4:30pm and 7-9pm at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. Committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Lisa's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
