Leonard Coulson

Leonard Coulson, 88, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Born in Jersey City, NJ in 1937, Leonard was raised in Kearny NJ. In his youth, Leonard was an active and passionate member of the Presbyterian Boys Club (PBC) of Kearny NJ. Leonard continued his involvement with the PBC by becoming a director at the club. Leonard retired in the 1990's and relocated to Sebastian FL with his wife Grace. After spending over 20 years in Florida, he relocated back to NJ, in Bridgewater, to be closer with his family.

Upon graduating from Kearny High School, Leonard was self-employed, owning a landscaping business and later operating a garden center. In the years leading up to his retirement, Leonard was a maintenance manager at a chemical manufacturing facility in Newark NJ.

During his free time, Leonard enjoyed boating and building model airplanes. He loved spending time fishing in Florida, either at Sebastian Inlet or on the surf. Leonard also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and performing 'magic tricks' for his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elizabeth and Thomas Coulson.

Surviving are his loving wife, Grace M. Coulson, his three dear sons, Leonard (Chip) and wife Tracy Coulson of Flemington, NJ; Matthew and wife Rosa Coulson of Branchburg, NJ; Alec Coulson of Bridgewater, NJ; a brother, Thomas Coulson of Brick Township, NJ; a sister, Betty Nicholson of Fort Myers, FL; five cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Sean, James, Adam, and Sarah and six adored great grandchildren.
