Laura A. McLaughlin Bridgewater, NJ Laura McLaughlin, 75, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at her residence. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Laura resided in Hopatcong for 29 years and Ft. Myers, Florida for 15 years before moving to Bridgewater 6 years ago. Laura graduated from Tilden High School, Class of 1963. Laura went on to work for Heavenly Helpers as a Caregiver in Ft. Myers for 5 plus years before retiring in 2014. Laura enjoyed hosting big parties, cooking, gardening, shopping, and traveling. She was known for her warm heart and beautiful smile. The one thing she enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mary and Henry Cruz, her loving husband of 45 years, Robert M. McLaughlin (2013). Surviving are her two dear sons, Rob and wife Amy McLaughlin of Hillsborough, NJ; Matt and wife Despina McLaughlin of Orlando, FL; a loving daughter, Jen McLaughlin of Bridgewater, NJ; two sisters, Nanci and husband Jack Skolnick of Daytona, FL; Barbara and husband Rick Walsh of Hackettstown, NJ; three adored grandchildren, Kara, Emma, and Jack; and many nieces and nephews.
