Kenneth J. Olivo May 5, 1975 – April 5, 2025

Kenneth J. Olivo, affectionately known as "Hot Shot," "Babe," and "Ken-Head," passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was born on May 5, 1975 in Somerville, NJ and resided in Bridgewater, NJ before moving to Bancroft in 1983.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose gentle spirit and kind heart touched everyone who knew him. For 49 years, Kenny brought joy and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He faced the challenges of Tuberous Sclerosis with strength, humor, and bravery, and his passing leaves a deep void in the lives of those who loved him.

To know Kenny was truly to love him. His charm and quick wit lit up every room he entered. Kenny found joy in the simple pleasures of life - being outdoors, taking in the beauty of nature, and caring for his horses. He loved his routine trips to Wawa for his coffee and his cherished outings to McDonald's with his family. Always full of surprises, Kenny had a witty, unpredictable sense of humor and loved to stay in the loop with the latest gossip, often adding his own unforgettable commentary.

For over 40 years, Kenny was embraced with love and care by the incredible people of Bancroft, who became his extended family. The love, compassion, and unwavering dedication shown to Kenny by the Bancroft community is something his family will forever be grateful for. A heartfelt thank you to Danielle for all of her love and support during this difficult time and who brought much joy to Kenny and loved him unconditionally like a brother. And sincere thanks to Ronell, Melissa, and Joe who cared for Kenny with the warmth of devotion of family for over 15 years. Deepest thanks also go to Gerald, Carol, Mona, Marquea, Shaniqua, Jake, Denise, and Brooke, each of whom held a special place in Kenny's life. The depth of gratitude his family feels for the unwavering support, kindness, and dedication of the Bancroft community cannot be expressed in words. To each and every person who loved and cared for Kenny as their own, the Olivo family offers their heartfelt appreciation.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth (2014), who he now joins in eternal peace.

Kenny is survived by his devoted mother, Patricia Olivo; his loving sister, Gina (Olivo) Brown, and her husband, Scott; and his cherished nieces and nephew—Haley, Katie, and Ryan.

Kenny also leaves behind his loving aunt and godmother, Cynthia Hudson Young and Uncle, Anthony Olivo, along with many treasured cousins and lifelong friends who were touched by his gentle spirit and infectious personality.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 3pm to 7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Ann Church, Raritan NJ 08869. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenny's memory may be made to Bancroft, 1255 Caldwell Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or TSC Alliance, 8737 Colesville Road, Suite 400, Silver Spring, MD 20910, two organizations that meant so much to him and his family.

Kenny's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His light, laughter, and love will never be forgotten.
