Karen L. Aufrichtig

Karen L. Aufrichrig 60, of Flemington, NJ, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Karen grew up in Bound Brook, NJ. She resided in Green Brook before settling in Flemington 20 years ago.

Karen graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1982. Shortly after, Karen went on to work as a hair dresser.

Karen especially loved their collection of miniature long-haired dachshunds and made her husband Glenn a dachshund lover forever. Karen also loved to ski and travel. She enjoyed traveling to Disney, Hawaii, Colorado, California and many other places with her husband Glenn. Alongside their dachshunds and traveling, Karen enjoyed baking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Caroline (Carol) and Walter Zarnowski.

Surviving are her loving husband, Glenn Aufrichtig, loving cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A viewing will be held on Thursday June 13, 2024 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 9:15. Funeral mass will take place at 10am at St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Burial to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
