Judy Lynne
Zimmerman
Mar 23, 1940 — Feb 4, 2024
Judy Lynne (Fox) Zimmerman
Bridgewater, NJ
Judy Lynne (Fox) Zimmerman, 83, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, with her family by her side. Judy grew up in North Plainfield, and spent most of her adult life in South Bound Brook. She was somewhat of a troublemaker in her youth, and enjoyed every minute of it. She married her husband Bob in 1963, spending time in California and Florida before returning to South Bound Brook. Judy had a strong work ethic, and was as an office manager / controller of several car dealerships, spending many years at Toyota of Morristown and Bell Audi.
A true animal lover, she always had a pack of animals as part of her family, including multiple Golden Retrievers at once along with cats she loved to rescue. Judy truly enjoyed the time she spent at 4-H, leading dog obedience training with teenagers. She was fiercely protective of her family, including her mother, who came to live with Judy in her later years, and with whom she enjoyed a special bond. After retiring, Judy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, her cats Cosmo and Phineas, and her dog Dobby; and was perhaps the biggest New York Giants fan ever.
Judy is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Fred and Rebecca Josephine Fox; her husband of 58 years, Robert Zimmerman; her son, Robert C. (Bobby) Zimmerman, Jr.; her brother and sister, Alfred Fox and Carole Murphy; and her lifelong friend Claire Suvino.
Surviving are her daughters, Cari James-Kiddish and her husband Greg Kiddish of Somerset, NJ, and Wendi Zimmerman and her husband Scott Mihalick of Bridgewater, NJ; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsea, Zoe, Anastazia, and Eliza.
Visitation will take place at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Route 202 South, Branchburg, NJ, on Thursday, February 8th from 3pm to 7pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia or Tabby's Place. https://www.chop.edu/ or https://www.tabbysplace.org/
