Joshua Lemma, 62, of Dunellen, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019 at JFK Medical Center. He was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He immigrated to the USA and lived in NY, Metuchen NJ, and North Plainfield, NJ where he spent 12 years before moving to South Plainfield 2 years ago. Mr. Lemma enjoyed playing cards, reading his bible, visiting with family and friends, loved playing and watching soccer, and was an avid Patriots fan. Joshua was always the life of the party, had a positive outlook on life, and loved making people smile and laugh, but most importantly he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Gloria Kassa, his children Danny, Meskerem, and Getachew, five cherished grandchildren, Halleluya , Baab, Nazrawit, Wongel, and Benias; brothers Belachew, Eshetu, and Beruk, sisters Menbere, Genet, and Etaferahu, nephews, nieces, and a host of family and friends. Viewing will be held on Saturday , February 23, 2019 from 10-11am at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at 11:00am at the funeral home followed by burial at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
