Joseph Siciliano, 99, of Piscataway, NJ, formally from Bradley Gardens, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home. Born in Riesi, Sicily, Joseph came to the United States in 1950. He resided in Bradley Gardens for 49 years before moving to Piscataway 21 years ago. Joseph worked in his families market as a young wise boy. After the passing of his father, at the age of 13 Joseph became the head of the household and took care of his mother and five siblings and went to work in the Sulfur mines. He was a Mason by trade, but went to work for American Cyanamid in Bound Brook and worked in the shipping and receiving department for 34 years before retiring in 1984. Joe worked at Raritan Valley Country Club as a Caddy in 1963 as a part time job to take care of his family. Joe worked at American Cyanamid at night so he could caddy throughout the day. A hard working, and dedicated man to any job he had. Known as the Caddy Master, Joe also caddied in his spare time. Over the years, Joe caddied for some members in the Club Championships. He caddied for Mike Yanell who played against Bobby Hunt and many others. Joe retired from the golf course at the age of 86. Joe was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed going to the games. He enjoyed watching soccer, dancing, cooking, playing poker with his family and going to the casinos .Every night after dinner he would go to a paisan's house to enjoy a cup a of espresso coffee. Joe had an amazing outlook on life. It was inspiring to many and would warm the hearts of any person he came in contact with. Joe was more than proud of all his accomplishments, including teaching himself how to read, write and speak English, his family, this country and his church. Joe believed that if you worked hard, the reward is much greater in the end. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Maria DeGregorio Siciliano and Giuseppe Siciliano, his first wife, Maria Ann Cassaro Siciliano (1976), his second wife, Josephine Guliano Siciliano (2017), a son Angelo Siciliano, two sisters, Maddelana Pilato, and Gaetana Russo and two brothers, Gaetano Siciliano; Vincenzo Siciliano, a son in law Harold (Buddy) Miner, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Miner Pucci. Surviving are his four loving daughters, Marie Miner of The Villages FL; Ann and husband Marty Campanell of The Villages FL; Madeline and husband Robert Riesinger of Manville, NJ; Josephine and husband Tom Donofrio of Highland Village TX; one dear son, Joseph and wife Candace Siciliano of The Villages, FL; one sister, Maria Pina Siciliano Perrone, 12 grandchildren, Aron Stenerodden, Lindsay Miner Pereira, Christine M. Riesinger Ballotta, Natalie M. Donofrio, Alison Siciliano Pederson, Nicholas Riesinger, Joseph Siciliano, Marisa J. Donofrio Grogan, Amber Siciliano, Thomas L. Donofrio, Angelo Siciliano, Danielle Siciliano, and 14 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A viewing will follow on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 9am-10:15am at the Branchburg Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin at 10:15am at the funeral home. A funeral mass will follow at Holy Trinity Church at 11am. Burial will take place at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
