Joseph Morella , 90, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough. Born in Raritan, he was a lifelong borough resident. Joseph worked for the Somerset County Park Commission, Grounds Maintenance Department, for 15 years until retiring in 1996. He was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dominick, Robert, Frank, Pasquale, Roy and Michael and his sisters, Catherine Cozzolongo and Mary Canale. Surviving are his beloved wife of 68 years, Olga Mantone Morella, his loving son, Joseph, Jr., and wife, JoAnn of Manville, his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeffrey Morella, three great-grandchildren, Madison, Marissa and Mossio and his dear sister, Anna Morella of Raritan. Prayer services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ. Entombment will follow at the St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum, Bridgewater.
