Joseph R. Lutsky Hackettstown, NJ Joseph R. Lutsky, 75, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Somerville, NJ, Joe resided in Flagtown for 26 years before moving to Hackettstown 49 years ago. Joseph served our country from 1970-1971 in the U.S. Marine Corp during Vietnam War. as a Corporeal. Mr. Lutsky graduated from Somerville High School, Class of 1965. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Mansfield State College in Pennsylvania. After graduating, Joe taught Math and Social Studies for 17 years at Lebanon Township. In his later years, Joseph worked at various retail stores until he retired. Joseph loved to travel especially to the Jersey Shore. He attended his children's sporting events and also attended his daughter's plays in elementary school. Mr. Lutsky followed local politics and new stories. The one thing Joe enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Elizabeth and John Lutsky. Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Klara Kovacs Lutsky, one dear son, Geza Lutsky of Hackettstown, NJ; one loving daughter, Laura and husband Ed Sinawa of Branchburg, NJ; one brother, John and wife Marie Lutsky of Pinehurt, NC; one niece, Debbie Martin, one nephew, Stephen Lutsky, his dog Daisy and his two feline companions, Misty and Merlin. A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 1-5pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 9:15am. Mass will take place at Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough at 10am.
