Obituary

Joseph P. Cusumano, 77, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at RWJ in New Brunswick. Born in Elizabeth, after marriage he moved to Cranford for 11 years. For the past 45 years he has resided in Branchburg. Joseph was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School in 1960. After graduating High School, he attended Newark College of Engineering where he received his Master's Degree and PhD in Chemical Engineering. Joseph was President of J-SAC Construction, Inc., in Somerville, NJ, for more than 27 years. He enjoyed learning and developed other business opportunities throughout his life. Joseph was a man of many talents and he also encouraged others to believe in their own gifts and talents. Joseph loved spending time with his family, whether in the backyard, at the beach, or at his grandchildren's school and sporting events. Family always came first. He truly loved his family and cherished the friendships that he made over the years. He was full of life and a believer in Jesus Christ as his Savior. Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved parents Victoria and Paul Cusumano and his brother Peter Cusumano. Surviving is his dearly beloved wife Susan Karlik Cusumano of 57 years, his cherished son Joseph II and wife Robin Cusumano of Bridgewater, his treasured daughter Susanna and husband Jeffry Duggan of Ringoes, and four adored grandchildren, Joseph III, Julia, Kimberly, and Samuel.
