Joseph Caruso Sr., 66, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Joseph resided in Bridgewater for 24 years before moving to Whitehouse Station 7 years ago. Joe graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School in 1973. Joe enjoyed a lifelong career in the construction industry. He was the past president and founding member of Carbro Constructors before his retirement in 2015. He took pride in all aspects of the building process and truly had a passion for running heavy equipment. His hard work ethic, determination, and generosity earned him the respect from peers and employees. Joe was a hardworking man but family always came first. One thing he enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Dominick Caruso. Surviving are his loving mother, Rose Caruso of Whitehouse Station, NJ; his companion Katherine Morreale of Whitehouse Station, NJ; one dear son, Joseph Jr., and wife Kimberly Caruso of Ponder, TX; a loving daughter, Dana and husband Ryan Skelly of Southlake, TX; two brothers, Dominick Caruso III of Martinsville, NJ; Anthony and wife Cynthia Caruso of Bridgewater, NJ; two sisters, Rosemarie Renda of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Nancy and husband Peter DeLoria of Whitehouse Station, NJ; three cherished grandchildren, Addison, Sienna, and Hunter along with many loving nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
