Josefa Jaramillo Espinoza, 75, died on Tuesday September 13, 2022, in Calvary Hospital Brooklyn NY. She was born on January 21, 1947, in Talogtog Laoac Philippines to her late parents Gregoria Acosta and Leandro Ramos Jaramillo.

Josefa immigrated to the United States in 1975 settling in Brooklyn NY. She later would live in Somerville and Raritan NJ before moving back to Brooklyn NY 5 years ago. She worked for many years at Lab Corp in Raritan NJ as a Microbiologist. She was very religious and loved Our Savior Jesus Christ. Josefa prayed often at her favorite shrines, The Shrine Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in Raritan NJ and The Blue Army Shrine in Washington NJ. Josefa enjoyed family time and loved to dine on good food especially Barbeque. She loved to travel to Hawaii and back to her home country the Philippines to visit family. Josefa was a hardworking, giving, generous and loving woman. If she could give, she would. Josefa was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Josefa is survived by her loving children, son, Benjamin Jaramillo Espinoza Jr of Raritan NJ, and daughters Carol Jaramillo Espinoza and Carie Jaramillo Espinoza both of Brooklyn NY, and three grandchildren Leandro Cho, Ryu Payao and Tommy Valente.

Josefa was predeceased by her parents, daughter Venus E Payao (Feb 14, 2022) and 5 siblings.

A viewing will take place on Thursday September 29, 2022 between 2:00pm and 4:00pm and 7:00pm and 9:00pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt 202 S Branchburg NJ 908-526-7638. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday September 30, 2022 at 9:30am at the Shrine Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament 50 W Somerset Street Raritan NJ. Burial will be private.

The arrangements are under the direction of the Bongiovi Funeral Home, Raritan NJ, 908-725-1887 utilizing the Branchburg Funeral Home facilities for visitation on Thursday September 29th.
