Jose Costeira Fort Myers, Florida Jose Costeira ,86, of Fort Myers Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 surround by his loving family. Born in Portugal, Jose immigrated to the U.S. in 1948 where he resided in Newark, NJ. He spent 26 years in Harding Township and spent the last 25 years in Ft. Myers, Florida. Jose worked in construction as a builder. He enjoyed cooking and baking with his wife Maria. He enjoyed traveling to Florida and Portugal where he would spend 4 to 5 months out of the year. Jose enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Maria and Henrique Costeira, three sisters Maria Costeira, Gloria Sapta, and Belmira Barroqueiro, and his daughter-in-law Cynthia Costeira. Surviving are his loving wife Maria Santos Costeira of 65 years, a dear son Joseph Costeira of Neshanic Station, NJ; three adored grandchildren, Christina, James, and Joseph and two cherished great grandchildren Alexander and Madeline. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4-8 pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home ay 10:15am on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 followed by a 11am funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church in Three Bridges, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ.
