John "Whitey" Worosila passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the age of 79.
Born in the city of Bayonne, NJ on May 13, 1941, Whitey was a country boy at heart. A man more suited to the Old West, he was known for his love of horses, guns, and the western way of life. Whitey was known for his humor, his storytelling, and his love of a good joke. He had a generous spirit and a heart as big as the great outdoors. A true people-person, Whitey made friends wherever he went and never turned away a friend, or a stranger, in need. His love of life was only surpassed by his love for his friends and family.
Whitey was predeceased in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie Worosila, his beautiful grandson Michael Worosila, and his beloved cousin Adele Roskos. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Julia; his four children: Susan Fuchs, William Worosila, Christopher Worosila and his wife Kristy, and Jodi Patricola and her husband Peter; his seven cherished grandchildren: Eric, Emily, Joseph, Eli, Molly, Lia and Larsen; two loving sisters, Marcyanna Millet and Elizabeth Nesta; and his dear cousin Paul Roskos.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life in his honor in the near future. Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Old Friends Retirement Thoroughbred Farms at http://www.oldfriendsequine.org/ , National Down Syndrome Society at www.ndss.org, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
