John M. Lazorchak

John M. Lazorchak, 81, of Flemington, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville. Born in Bound Brook, NJ, John resided in Branchburg for over 40 years before moving to Flemington in 2022.

John graduated from North Hunterdon High School, Class of 1961 and Nathaniel Hawthorn College, New Hampshire, Class of 1967. He was a member of the New Jersey National Guard in the early 1970's. John started his own business in 1970 representing some of the largest military and defense industry manufacturing firms until his retirement in 2009. He was highly respected for his gentleman style, ambitious attitude, and determination through the years. Many will remember him for his "good and bad" sarcasm while making sure his thoughts were heard clear.

When not on the road going to see a customer or in his office working, John enjoyed his time at the blackjack table, spending time at his Pocono home, taking a cruise, or playing golf. His property was always on the priority list to keep it neat and clean. Entertaining his family and friends was very important whether it was a holiday dinner or summer picnic. A full house of company was always important for John.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lillian of 54 years and parents, Marion and John Lazorchak.

Surviving are his son, John M. Lazorchak, Jr. and Michelle Cate of Hillsborough, NJ; his loving daughter, Lisa and husband John Smith of Flemington NJ; cherished grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah; brother Steve and Lee Lazorchak and sister Doris and Mike Graybar along with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A parastas service will take place at 6pm at the funeral home.

Funeral mass will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
