John W. Kalmbach

John W. Kalmbach, 89, Of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at his home. He was born in Queens, NY, and resided in Brooklyn for over 12 years before moving to Branchburg 48 years ago.

John was a member of the US Army before being honorably discharged in 1958.

John acted as Treasurer with the Branchburg Senior Citizens, and was very involved with his church, Good Shepherd Lutheran in Somerville.

John had a great love for his VW Bug that he restored, was an active soccer player and coach for his son, avid NY Giants fan, took pride in doing projects around his home, tending to his vegetable garden, and cherished the time he spent with family. He will be missed tremendously by all.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Eva Borman and Emil Kalmbach and his loving wife of 34 years, Camille Fischette Kalmbach.

Surviving are his dear son, John of Flemington, NJ; his loving daughter Carolyn and husband Paul Dahm of Middlbury, VT; two nieces, and two nephews.

Viewing will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11am.

Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
