John B. Green Jr., 64, was born December 4th, 1956. John, a resident of Branchburg, New Jersey, unexpectedly passed away on October 13th, 2020. John was born in Red Bank, New Jersey and spent many years traveling and residing in California, New York, Washington State and Florida before returning to native New Jersey. John cherished spending time with his daughter and friends and always made the ones he loved laugh and smile. He was the life of the party, the best kind of friend, a free spirit, a happy soul, and always tried to do the right thing. He had a deep love for all animals, a green thumb in the garden and enjoyed reminiscing about earlier times. He relished in gourmet cooking and especially treasured creating meals out of the simplest ingredients. He used his creativity to develop new business ventures. The most important thing in John's life, was his little girl Johnnie Leigh. She was the light of his life. He strived to be an amazing father to her, and she will miss him dearly for the remainder of her life. John received his Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts and his Associate Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Johnson and Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. He was awarded "Best Clam Chowder" three years running for 1986, 1987, and 1988. He was awarded "Best Seafood" in 1985 and placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the proceeding years for the "Restaurant Invitation Cookoffs," in the seafood category. John was the son of John B. Green Sr. and Elizabeth Freeman. He is survived by his daughter, Johnnie Cipriani. He was the youngest of four brothers, Rocky, Edward, and Richard. He also had lots of nieces; Debe, Elizabeth, Jean, Courtney, and Lindsay. He also has great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
