John Charles Gitch, 59, of Whitehouse Station, NJ died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home.
Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Irvington for 20 years before moving to Whitehouse Station 36 years ago.
For most of John's life he worked as a Carpenter, most recently with JMF Fine Woodwork.
John loved tending to his vegetable garden and flower beds, fishing, and spending quality time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, George (2004).
Surviving are his beloved mother, Mildred Reece Gitch; two dear brothers, Gary and his wife Gail of Clinton, NJ and Paul of Whitehouse Station, NJ; three loving sisters, MaryAnn and her husband Randy Henson of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Dianne and her husband Corey LeBo of Flemington, NJ, and Kathleen and her husband Thomas Leach of Whitehouse Station, NJ; six cherished nieces and nephews, Meghan, Alex, Caitlin, Christine, T.J., and Kevin; and a precious great niece, Maya.
Viewing will be held Tuesday April 2, 2019 from 10am-12pm with a prayer service at 12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876.
Committal is private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Whitehouse Station Rescue Squad 269 Main St, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
