She then ended her educational journey University of Phoenix; receiving her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Cultural Communications. Though no longer in school; she always sought knowledge. Jocelyn taught herself several languages; Japanese, Italian, Spanish and some Mandurian. Jocelyn frequently debated politics with her dear grampi and conversed about history with her sister Mina.

In 2011 Jocelyn was a part of the Make A Wish Foundation. Jocelyn wanted her wish to make a difference in the world in some way. Through many years of thought and research; she decided on bringing a Japanese Visual Kei band to the USA for the first time. Jocelyn asked for the band Manterou Opera to perform in the states for the first time at Anime USA. This opened up many opportunities for Japanese bands and Americans fans to share cultural experiences. This was exhibited many years later at Anime Next in Jocelyn's home state of New Jersey bringing back a member of Manterou Opera, Yo, and his fashion designer participation in the event. Jocelyn was able to provide Yo with the familiarity of seeing her again in unfamiliar territory. Both were nervous in large crowds and upon seeing and reuniting continued as if they never missed a beat.
Jocelyn, her mother and sister all volunteered for Oldwick Community Players and InZane drama productions. Additionally, they volunteered at Woodlands Wildlife Refuge and Saint Mary's By The Sea as a family.
