JoAnn Pittilla, 75, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, JoAnn resided in Kearny for 5 years before moving to Branchburg 46 years ago. JoAnn graduated from Kearny High School in 1964. JoAnn was a Girl Scout Leader for Troop #351 in Branchburg. She enjoyed sewing, even making her own wedding gown. JoAnn loved to bake pies, especially for her grandchildren. She hosted the ultimate sleepovers and gave the absolute best hugs. Judge Judy was a daily part of her routine. One thing JoAnn enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ethel and Heinz Vieth, and her son Ricky (2019). Surviving are her loving husband Richard Pittilla of 50 years, a dear son Robert Pittilla of Branchburg, NJ; a loving daughter Amanda and husband Spencer Ungerleider of Pittsford, NY; a brother Thomas and wife Mary Vieth of Kearny, NJ; and two cherished grandchildren, Sutton and Brennan. A viewing will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 6-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. Committal is private.
