Jennie L. Placenza Spina , 84, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Hillsborough. Born in New York, she formerly resided in Mineola, L.I., N.Y. before moving to Bridgewater six years ago. She was a seamstress for 25 years with several companies until retiring in 1987. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Claude, in 1997 and her brothers, Joseph and Vito Placenza. Surviving are her loving daughter, Loretta Casalaina and husband Joseph of Hillsborough and her cherished grandsons, Marco, of San Francisco, CA and Michael of Philadelphia, and her dear sister, Rose, Placenza of Mineola, NY. Funeral services will begin Saturday with a prayer at 9:00 AM at the Dalton Funeral Home, 412 Willis Ave., Williston Park, New York, 516-354-0634, followed by a 9:45 AM Funeral Mass at St. Brigid R.C. Church, 50 Post Ave., Westbury, NY. Interment will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. Visitation hours are Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 PM at the funeral home.
