Jennie R. Matey , 81, passed away on Friday, August 05, 2011 at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark. Born in Bound Brook and raised in Bound Brook, Jennie had resided in Raritan since 1949. Mrs. Matey was a Day Care Worker for the YMCA in Somerville for 10 years, until retiring in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Matey, Sr., in 1998. Jennie is survived by her son, Raymond Matey, Jr. of Raritan. A Prayer Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Route 28, Bridgewater. Viewing hours are Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
