Jean E. Tarn , 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Newark, she resided there most of her life, before moving to Parlin and then Hillsborough eight years ago. Mrs. Tarn was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She was very active in her church while she resided in Newark. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy C. Deuchler and mother, Mary Radler Deuchler, who passed away in June, 2012 at the age of 104. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Tarn of Parlin; her son, Glenn Tarn of Somerset; her sister, Joyce E. Muller of Somerset; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Prayer Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638. Interment will follow in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Viewing hours are Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
